What is MiOSbot?

MiOSbot is an AI workspace for business owners and their teams. You describe what you want in plain words, and MiOSbot researches, writes, organizes, and takes action with the tools your workspace connects. See Welcome to MiOSbot.

What’s the difference between MiOSbot and MiOS World?

MiOSbot is the chat-first workspace where you ask MiOSbot to do work for you. World is your company’s shared workspace for team conversations, customers, documents, and payments. See Welcome to MiOSbot.

Why does the app say “miOS”?

MiOSbot was previously called miOS. Some apps, including World for Mac, still show the previous name. It’s the same product.

What it can do

What can MiOSbot do for me?

Depending on what your workspace has enabled, you can ask MiOSbot to:

• Search the web, read pages, and summarize what it finds.
• Read and analyze PDFs and other files you attach.
• Draft emails, documents, and plans.
• Create images and short videos, and turn text into speech.
• Use a web browser to complete steps on a website.
• Join a meeting to take notes and transcribe it.
• Place phone calls from your workspace’s connected phone number.
• Build dashboards and reports.
• Run tasks on a schedule with automations.

What can’t MiOSbot do?

• It can’t take actions that need your approval until you approve them.
• It can only use the tools, accounts, and devices your workspace has connected and your access allows.
• It can’t act on a device that’s offline.
• It remembers only what it saves to memory, not everything you’ve ever said.
• It can make mistakes. Check important facts, numbers, and anything that goes to a customer.

What happens when MiOSbot isn’t sure what to do?

It asks you. The session shows Needs you, and the question waits until you answer. Answer it in the session, and MiOSbot continues from there. If a request is unclear, it’s better for MiOSbot to ask than to guess, so give it the details it needs.

Can MiOSbot work while I’m away?

Yes. You can leave a session while it’s working and come back later. For bigger tasks, MiOSbot can hand parts of the work to helpers that run in the background and report back. Automations run tasks on a schedule. Anything that needs your approval waits for you and shows Needs you.

Does MiOSbot remember things?

Yes, when it saves them to memory. Tell it directly, for example: “Remember that invoices go out on the 1st.” You can review what it remembers and ask it to forget something; it forgets only after you confirm. See How MiOSbot works.

Which AI models does MiOSbot use?

MiOSbot uses the models available in your workspace. Where your workspace allows it, you can choose a model and an effort level in the message box. See Models, permissions, and usage.

Approvals, money, and control

Does MiOSbot ask before it acts?

For actions with real consequences, yes. Before it sends something to someone else, deletes something, publishes, or moves money, MiOSbot shows a request explaining what it wants to do. You can allow it once or decline; for some automation tool actions you can choose to always allow them. Every decision is logged. If you decline, the action doesn’t happen.

Can MiOSbot spend money or make payments?

MiOSbot doesn’t move money on its own. Payments, charges, refunds, and other money actions are treated as protected actions that need explicit approval, and some can’t be approved from the app at all. In MiOS World, card details are entered on the payment provider’s secure page, and an invoice is marked paid only after the payment processor confirms it. See Documents and payments.

How do I stop a task?

While MiOSbot is working, select Stop in the session to stop the current run. Then tell it what to do instead, or start a new session.

How do I see what MiOSbot did?

Open the session. It shows your messages, MiOSbot’s replies, and the steps it took along the way.

Data and privacy

What does MiOSbot have access to?

MiOSbot works with what you give it: your messages, the files you attach, what it has saved to memory, and the accounts and tools your workspace connects. A connected account works within that account’s own permissions. Your administrator decides which tools and connections are available. For details, read our privacy policy.

Should I paste passwords or keys into a chat?

No. When a task needs a password or key, MiOSbot asks for it through a protected entry form, so the value isn’t shown in the conversation. Never paste passwords, setup codes, or card numbers into a message.

Can I make MiOSbot forget something?

Yes. Ask it to forget a specific fact, or review its memory. It forgets only after you confirm.

How do I get MiOS World for Mac?

Download it from the Download page. It needs macOS 14 or newer and runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Follow Install World for Mac to verify and install it.

Is there an iPhone app?

MiOSbot for iPhone is coming soon. Until then, use MiOSbot in your browser. Install only apps listed on the Download page.

Why is an area or tool missing for me?

Your access decides what you see. In World, areas appear only when your account includes them, and Books and Payroll are for the account owner only. In MiOSbot, some tools appear only when your workspace enables them. Ask your administrator to review your access.
