How to review work from an AI assistant
A practical review process for sources, execution evidence, and consequential actions.
Check the outcome against the brief
Compare the delivered artifact with the original request. Look for missing constraints, assumptions, and unfinished steps. A polished explanation does not prove an action happened.
Verify the evidence
For research, open the cited sources and check that they support the conclusion. For changes, look for relevant test results. For downloads, verify the official release details and checksum.
Separate drafts from actions
Confirm whether something was proposed, created locally, or actually sent or published. Review the recipient, account, environment, and content before authorizing a consequential action.
Close the loop
Record what was accepted and what still needs attention. For a repeatable task, keep a short brief and review checklist. Use the task-brief guide to make the next request clearer.
