Introducing MiOSbot
miOS is now MiOSbot: one name for the AI teammate you text the work to, with MiOSbot and MiOS World. Here's what you can do today.
Starting today, miOS is called MiOSbot. It’s the same product, with one name for everything: the assistant you ask for work, the workspace where you ask, and the workspace where your company runs.
If you already use it, nothing about your account changes. Some apps still show the previous name for a while. MiOS World for Mac, for example, still appears as miOS World on the disk image and in Applications.
One teammate, two places to work with it
MiOSbot comes as two products that do different jobs.
MiOSbot is a chat-first workspace. You describe the result you want in plain words, and MiOSbot does the work: it researches, writes, organizes, and takes action with the tools your workspace connects. Each conversation is a session with its own history, so you can leave and pick up where you left off.
MiOS World is your company’s shared workspace. Team channels and direct messages, customer records and pipeline, delivery tasks, documents, and payments live in one signed-in place. People see only the areas their account includes, and Books and Payroll stay with the account owner.
Most people start in MiOSbot. Teams that run their company day to day work in World.
What you can do today
You use most of MiOSbot by asking for what you need. Depending on what your workspace has turned on, you can:
- Research the web. Ask a question and get an answer with links to the pages MiOSbot read. Narrow it by date, website, or region. Web research
- Get work done on websites. MiOSbot has its own browser. It can open pages, fill in forms, and collect information while you watch. For sites that need an account, you sign in yourself. Browser
- Read and compare documents. Attach up to 10 PDFs in one request and ask for summaries, dates, amounts, or a comparison of two versions. Documents and files
- Create images and short videos. Describe what you need, or attach a photo to edit or animate. Results arrive in the session when they’re ready. Images and video
- Talk instead of type. Have a live voice conversation in your browser, dictate a message, or ask for a reply read aloud. Voice
- Place phone calls. MiOSbot can call someone from your workspace’s connected phone number to deliver a message or hold a short conversation. Phone calls
- Take meeting notes. Send a Google Meet link and MiOSbot joins to transcribe, or to speak where your workspace supports it. Transcripts are saved in Meetings. Meetings
- Handle mail and calendar. With your Google mail and calendar connected, MiOSbot finds open times, schedules events, answers invites, and drafts replies. Calendar and mail
- Run work on a schedule. Ask for a weekday morning brief or a monthly reminder, and review every automation on one page. Automations
- See status at a glance. MiOSbot builds dashboards of cards, tables, and charts for a session. Dashboards
- Keep what matters. Ask MiOSbot to remember a preference or a fact about your business, then check, correct, or remove it. Memory
- Split up big jobs. MiOSbot can hand parts of a large task to helpers that run at the same time and report back. Parallel work
You can also reach MiOSbot outside the browser when your admin connects a channel: text messages, iMessage, Slack, or email. Replies come back where you asked. Channels
You stay in control
MiOSbot is useful because it can act. It’s trustworthy because you set the limits.
- Sensitive actions wait for a yes. Payments, refunds, and other money moves always need approval, unless the workspace owner asks for the payment directly in their own chat. Sending messages, publishing, and changing outside accounts ask first when MiOSbot works unattended, and can ask in chat too. Approvals
- You choose how far a session goes. The permission control in the message box ranges from read-only to reviewed actions. Models, permissions, and usage
- Drafts stay drafts. A drafted reply waits in your mailbox, and a World document stays a draft until someone creates a signing link or sends it.
- New people need approval. Someone who finds MiOSbot’s number or address can’t start using it until your admin approves them, and your connected mailbox and calendar work only for you. Who can talk to MiOSbot
- Credentials stay out of the chat. When a task needs a password or key, MiOSbot asks through a protected entry form, so the value never appears in the conversation.
MiOSbot can make mistakes. Check important facts and numbers, and review anything before it goes to a customer.
